THE OSAKA STATION HOTEL, Autograph Collection celebrates International Women’s Day (March 8). From March 1 to March 9, 2025, we will decorate the hotel with mimosas—the symbol of International Women’s Day—and offer a mimosa-themed menu developed by the women on our staff.

March 8, 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of International Women’s Day, established by the United Nations in 1975 to promote the advancement of women and gender equality. In Italy, March 8 is known as “Mimosa Day,” and it is a day when people give mimosa flowers to the women in their lives. Mimosas symbolize happiness, and their bright yellow color signals the advent of spring. At THE OSAKA STATION HOTEL, we will decorate the 29th floor Lobby with vibrant mimosas as way of expressing our gratitude and respect for all women. We also voice our support for women’s success by serving a striking “mimosa yellow” menu developed by the women on our staff with the aim of bringing a smile to the faces of fellow women.

●Mimosa-colored sweet treats that hasten the arrival of spring and elicit happiness
“Solaris” is a cake from a female pastry chef. With an eye-catching yellow nappage, the domed cake is as bright and vivid as the sun. Its flavor is sweet and tart, with a yogurt-based mousse blended with passion fruit and lemon in the center and apple gelée and confit ensconced throughout.

●A toast to women’s futures with a sparkling yellow lamé cocktail
The “Live Your Life” cocktail designed by a female bartender is made with Calvados (apple brandy) and pairs well with sweets. The base is Aphrodite Yellow, a fruity liqueur made with a mix of mango and peach. The highlight is intricate strips of lamé that glisten at every tip of the glass.

Our popular dinner buffet features a Caviar Station with three different types of caviar for guests to taste and compare. Perched on the extraordinary dishes are vivid yellow “mimosa eggs” covered with potato mousse and topped with caviar from three different regions. We hope the endless and endlessly colorful buffet helps to be a source of motivation for the hard-working women who stay with us.
