“Toshikoshi soba” is one of the Japanese customs and food culture that has become a tradition at the end of the year.
On New Year's Eve (December 31), THE-MOMENT GRILL&DINING will serve “Toshikoshi soba (buckwheat noodles)”.
The origin of “Toshikoshi soba” is said to have been established in the Edo period (1603-1867). There are various legends about the origin of "New Year's Eve Soba," including the theory that it was a wish for prolonging one's life and longevity because soba is long and thin, and that it was a way to keep close relationships with family and loved ones for a long time.
Wishing you a happy New Year, we will be serving a special “Toshikoshi soba” on New Year's Eve, 2024.
